Open Face Ham And Mushroom Sandwiches

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Fresh mushrooms 8 Ounce, sliced (About 2 Cup)
  Onion 1 Small, thinly sliced and separated into rings
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Cooked smoked ham slice 4 Ounce (4 Thin Slices)
  Dark rye bread slice 4 , toasted
  Thin tomato slices 8
  Shredded cheddar cheese 4 Ounce (1 Cup)
Directions

1. Place margarine, mushrooms, onion and garlic in 1-quart casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high 4 to 6 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until onion is crisp-tender.
2. Place 1 slice ham on each slice toast. Place about 1/4 of the mushroom mixture on each slice ham, using slotted spoon.
3. Arrange 2 sandwiches on paper towel-lined 10-inch plate. Microwave uncovered on high 2 minutes. Top each sandwich with 2 slices tomato; sprinkle each with 1/4 cup cheese. Microwave uncovered 30 to 60 seconds or until cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
