Open Face Ham And Mushroom Sandwiches
|Fresh mushrooms||8 Ounce, sliced (About 2 Cup)|
|Onion||1 Small, thinly sliced and separated into rings|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Cooked smoked ham slice||4 Ounce (4 Thin Slices)|
|Dark rye bread slice||4 , toasted|
|Thin tomato slices||8|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
1. Place margarine, mushrooms, onion and garlic in 1-quart casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high 4 to 6 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until onion is crisp-tender.
2. Place 1 slice ham on each slice toast. Place about 1/4 of the mushroom mixture on each slice ham, using slotted spoon.
3. Arrange 2 sandwiches on paper towel-lined 10-inch plate. Microwave uncovered on high 2 minutes. Top each sandwich with 2 slices tomato; sprinkle each with 1/4 cup cheese. Microwave uncovered 30 to 60 seconds or until cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
