Crab And Cheese Sandwiches
|All purpose flour||3 Tablespoon|
|Chicken flavored gravy base||1 Teaspoon|
|Dry mustard||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|English muffins||3 , split, toasted and buttered|
|Cooked crab meat/2 packages, 6 ounce each frozen crab meat, thawed||12 Ounce|
In saucepan melt butter over low heat.
Stir in flour, gravy base, dry mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Add milk all at once.
Cook and stir till thick and bubbly; cook 2 minutes more.
Remove from heat.
Add cheese; stir to melt.
Arrange muffin halves on ovenproof plates or platter; top each with some of the crab meat.
Top with cheese sauce.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat just till hot and bubbly.(Do not brown.)
