Ham And Watercress Sandwiches
|Watercress||2 Bunch (200 gm)|
|Thin white bread slices/Thin whole wheat slice||8|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, softened at room temperature|
|Dijon mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Thinly sliced ham/Cold roast pork||1⁄2 Pound|
1 Rinse the watercress thoroughly.
2 Dry well.
3 Take all the leaves off the stalks.
4 Trim off the crusts from the bread.
5 Spread 4 slices of bread generously with butter.
6 Spread the other 4 with a thin spread of mustard.
7 Place sliced ham or pork on the 4 slices spread with mustard.
8 Season lightly with salt and freshly ground pepper.
9 Place plenty of watercress on top of the meat, heaping it up in the center.
10 Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
11 Cover with the buttered slices, pressing down firmly.
12 Serve at once.
