Fried Salt Pork With Cream Gravy

Ingredients
  Salt pork 1 Pound
  Flour 1 Tablespoon (adjust quantity as needed)
  Milk 1 Pint
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by slicing the pork thinly

MAKING
2.In a bowl, pour cold water and place the pork slices
3.Let stand for 1 hour
4.Remove them and drain and dry them properly
5.Now dip each piece into flour
6.In a frying pan, fry the pieces until crisp
7.Then drain off all but 2 tablespoons of fat stir 2 tablespoons of flour into that remaining
8.Cook 2 minutes, keep stirring properly, then reduce heat and add milk slowly
9.Cook until thickened
10.Add salt and pepper, if desired

SERVING
11.Serve with rice or salads
