Caraway Salt Sticks
|Sifted flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Crumbled rice krispies||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Caraway seed||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Evaporated milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (adjust quantity as needed)|
Blend dry ingredients with shortening, milk and vinegar; knead lightly.
Roll dough into 16 inch roll; divide into sixteen 1 inchballs.
Roll each ball into 6 inch stick.
Dip each stick into evaporated milk; coat with crumbs.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
