1.Set up the grill to 360 degrees F.
2.Set the grill for indirect grilling. Placed all the hot coals to one side and leave a cool side to work on.
3.Toss the wood chips on the coal.
4.Spread the salt in a thin layer in the pan covered with the aluminium foil on the cool side, cover the grill and smoke the salt for 1 hour.
5.Allow it cool and store it in air tight container.
6.Sprinkle the smoked salt in barbecued dishes for that enhanced flavor and serve.
