Grilled Salmon with Lemon and Herbs
|Salmon steaks/Salmon fillets||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Olive oil/Vegetable oil||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Onion||1 Small, minced|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Chopped dill/1/2 teaspoon dried dill||2 Tablespoon|
|Chopped tarragon/1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground pepper||To Taste|
1. Prepare a mixture of onion, garlic, lemon juice, dill, pepper, tarragon and oil.
2. In a shallow dish, arrange salmon in a single layer. Pour on the onion mixture and allow to refrigerate, covered, for about 1 to 2 hours. Turn salmon halfway through for even marinade coating.
3. Take out the salmon and allow to be barbecued for 4 to 5 minutes on medium heat at a distance of 6 inches from heat so that salmon’s center turns opaque. Keep basting with the marinade throughout barbecuing time.
4. Serve hot.
