|Sprouted fenugreek seeds||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated fresh coconut||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Jaggery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced fine|
|Rock salt||To Taste|
The method of sprouting fenugreek seeds is the same as for other seeds.
Clean, wash and soak the seeds in adequate water for 24 hours.
Change the water as often as you can, at least 3-4 times.
This leaves the seeds smelling fresh.
Then drain and leave to germinate for 12 hours.
The exact amount of time taken to germinate will largely depend on the weather in your part of the world.
Preparing this salad is fairly simple.
Put all the ingredients together in a servings bowl.
Set aside for 15 minutes so that the jaggery blends with the other ingredients.
Serve with hot rice or; rotis It can even be had alongside any snack obviously you can't eat a whole lot of this salad.
But it is very helpful to make this a regular part of your diet.
Once a week is a great idea for all of us.
