Zesty Ginger-Fruit Salad
|Orange gelatin||3 Ounce (1 Package, Jell - O)|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ginger ale||7 Fluid Ounce (1 Bottle)|
|Orange sections||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), halved (Fresh)|
|Grapefruit sections||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), halved (Fresh)|
Dissolve gelatin, ginger, and salt in boiling water.
Add ginger ale.
Place bowl with 1 cup of gelatin in larger bowl of ice and water, stir until slightly thickened.
Whip with electric mixer or rotary beater until mixture is fluffy and thick and aboutdouble in volume.
Pour intoan 8 inch square pan.
Chill until set, but not firm.
Chill remaining gelatin until thickened.
Fold in orange and grapefruit sections.
Spoon gently over set gelatin.
Chill until firm about 4 hours.
Cut into squares.
