Festive Salad

  Canned fruit cocktail 30 Ounce, drained, reserve 1 1/3 cups syrup (1 Can)
  Lime flavored gelatin 3 Ounce (1 Package)
  Cream cheese 3 Ounce, softened
  Chilled heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped

Heat 1 cup of the reserved syrup to boiling.
Pour over gelatin in a bowl and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
Mix in remaining syrup.
Chill until mixture is slightly thicker than thick, unbeaten egg white.
Gradually add thickened gelatin to cream cheese, a small amount at a time, stirring until well blended after each addition.
Mix in fruit cocktail, then fold in whipped cream.
Turn into a 1 1/2 quart mold and chill until firm.
Unmold onto a chilled serving plate.
