Peel onion and cut it downward into quarters, then into thin strips.
Cut tomatoes in half, shake out seeds and cut flesh into matchstick strips.
Remove seeds and inner ribs of green pepper and cut flesh into matchstick strips.
Place all vegetables in a bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice and salt and mix lightly.
Chill until serving time.
