Frozen Cocktail Salad
|Dairy sour cream||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 1⁄3 Tablespoon|
|Canned fruit cocktail||30 Ounce, drained|
|Bananas||2 Medium, cut into 1/4 inch slices|
|Coarsely chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Maraschino cherries||1 Ounce, halved (1 Jar, 3/4 Cup)|
Mix sour cream, sugar and lemon juice.
Stir in fruit cocktail, bananas, walnuts and cherries.
Pour mixture into 2 refrigerator trays.
Cover, label and freeze.
Freeze until firm, at least 24 hours.
(Upright or chest freezers will freeze salad in about 2 hours.) 15 minutes before serving, remove Frozen Cock tail Salad from freezer; place in refrigerator.
Cut each salad into 8 pieces, 2 x2 1/4 inches.
Stemmed red cherries make a bright garnish.
