Frozen Cocktail Salad
|Dairy sour cream||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Canned fruit cocktail||30 Ounce, drained|
|Bananas||2 Medium, cut into 0.25 inch slices|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Maraschino cherries||10 Ounce, halved|
Mix sour cream, sugar and lemon juice.
Stir in fruit cocktail, bananas, nuts and cherries.
Pour into 2 refrigerator trays.
Freeze 24 hours or until firm.
(Upright or chest freezers will freeze salad in about 2 hours.) About 15 minutes before serving, remove trays from freezer and place in refrigerator.
Cut each salad into 8 pieces, 2x21/4 inches.
Stemmed red cherries make a bright garnish.
