Winter'S Supper Salad

Ingredients
  Frozen lima beans 20 Ounce
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Celery stalks 2 , sliced
  Bacon slices 6 , cut into pieces
  Wine vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salami 1⁄2 Pound, cut into thin strips
  Swiss cheese 8 Ounce, sliced (1 Package)
  Pitted ripe olives 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), halved
  Carrots 3 Medium, grated
  Sweet onions 3 , separated into rings
  Romaine leaves 4
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cook lima beans; drain.
Place in salad bowl; add onion and celery.
Saute bacon until crisp.
Mix 1/4 cup bacon drippings with 1/4 cup wine vinegar and pepper.
Pour over lima beans in bowl.
Add bacon; toss lightly.
Arrange salami, cheese, olives and carrots in separate piles on top; place onion rings in middle.
Edge salad bowl with romaine.
Sprinkle salt and paprika over all.
Toss lightly.
Add a little oil and vinegar, if needed.
