Dill Halibut & Cucumber Salad
|Frozen halibut steaks||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Instant minced onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Dill seed||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground white pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Commercial sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Fresh lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Cucumber||1 Large, peeled and thinly sliced|
Simmer fish in water to cover until done, 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove bones and skin.
Cut into small chunks; set aside.
Mix onion with 1 tablespoon water; let stand 10 minutes to soften.
Combine softened onion, dill seed, salt, white pepper, sour cream and lemon juice in salad bowl.
Add fish and cucumber.
Toss gently, coating with sour cream mixture.
