Molded Cinnamon Apple Salad
|Red cinnamon candies||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon gelatin||3 Ounce|
|Hot water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Unpeeled diced apples||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Diced apples||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs), unpeeled|
|Broken toasted walnuts/Filberts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||3 Ounce|
|Cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Dissolve candies and gelatin in boiling water.
Add lemon juice.
Chill until syrupy.
Fold in apples and nuts.
Pour one half of gelatin mixture into 8 x 8 inch square cake pan; chill until firm.
Blend cream cheese with cream and salt.
Spread on firm gelatin layer.
Carefully pour remaining gelatin over cheese layer.
Chill until firm.
