Merry Christmas Salad
|Lime gelatin||1 Tablespoon|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Crushed pineapple||2 Can (20 oz)|
|Cottage cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped pimento||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Maraschino cherries||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green pepper strip||1|
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool until syrupy.
Stir in remaining ingredients; pour into round 8 or 9 x 1 1/2 inch waxed paper lined cake pan.
Chill until firm.
Turn out onto waxed paper; cut into tree shape.
To decorate, cut squares of cranberry sauce for base; trim with walnut halves, cherries and green pep per.
Place curly endive around sides.
Chill until serving time.
