molded grapefruit salad is a fun to prepare and easy gelatine salad that can be served for dessert after any meal. Flavored with lemon juice with grapefruit and apple bits, this dessert salad recipe is an anytime serve.
1 , peeled, cored, chopped (Dessert Apple)
3 , chopped
1 , chopped (For Serving)
Drain the syrup from the grapefruit, and add sufficient water to make 1 cup.
Soften the gelatine in a little of the syrup for 5-10 minutes.
Then stir over hot water until melted.
Add the rest of the syrup and lemon juice, and leave in a cold place until it begins to thicken.
Stir in the grapefruit, apple and celery.
Pour into a prepared mold or into individual molds, and refrigerate until set.
Serve on a bed of lettuce.
