Avocado Salad With Onion And Tomato

Try this delicious recipe for Avocado Salad. It has a nice flavor, great buttery texture and let’s not forget, avocados are one of the very few “good” fats available. Avocado Salad is a wonderful accompaniment to spuce up any meal.
  Avocado 1 (Ripe)
  Tomato 1 , diced
  Green onions 3 , finely chopped
  Green chili To Taste, finely chopped
  Cilantro sprigs 5 , finely chopped
  Roasted cumin powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Black pepper powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Lime juice/Lemon juice To Taste

1 Peel and cut the Avocado into cubes and set aside.

2 In a bowl, combine green onions, tomatoes, cilantro, cumin powder, black pepper powder, green chilies and mix well.
3 Add in the Salt and Lemon/Lime Juice and mix again.
4 Gently mix in the diced Avocado, being very careful not to mash it.

5 Serve in individual salad bowls.

If you have time, store in refrigerator for a half hour to chill and to let the onions and tomatoes marinate in the juices.

The shelf life of a peeled avocado is not very good, so make sure you finish the salad in a day or so.

with few fat ...this will be very healthy.Really salad is the very healthier side dish.

Love salads and of course avocadoes which are plentiful here in California. Love cumin with avocadoes. I think I'll make this but add a little fresh minced garlic and chiles of course. This would be excellent with grilled/tandoor meats.
