Hot Lettuce Salad
|Head of lettuce||1|
|Hard-cooked egg||1 , chopped|
|India relish||2 Teaspoon|
Fry bacon until crisp; drain.
Drain bacon drippings; reserve 2 tablespoons drippings.
Combine sugar, vinegar and India relish with reserved drippings in skillet; bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces; toss with bacon and egg.
Pour hot vinegar mixture over let- tuce; toss lightly.
