Flamed Fruit Salad

Ingredients
For selection of any firm fruit:
  Fruits 1 1⁄2 Pound (Such As Apple, Banana, Cherries, Orange, Mandarin, Pear, Peach, Strawberries And Grapes)
  Lemon 1
  Butter 1 Ounce
  Caster sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Almond flakes 2 Ounce
  Rum/Cognac / calvados 3 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Start by chopping the fruits into pieces, also grate the lemon

MAKING
2. In a bowl, mix the fruit pieces together and squeeze juice out of the grated lemon on the fruits in the bowl
3. in a pan, place the butter and caster sugar, then heat without stirring, heat till the sugar caramelizes, it won't take more than 5 minutes
3. In a pan, add the grated lemon rind and almonds and cook for about 5 minutes, keep stirring till the caramel and nuts turn golden brown
4. Now take out the pan from the heat, and pour juices from mixed fruits and stir till mixture turns smooth, now add the fruit, keep turning the mixture to mix the syrup properly, won't take more than 5 minutes
5. In a metal ladle, warm rum, Cognac or Calvados, pour over fruits which are already in the pan

SERVING
6. Serve the flamed fruit salad immediately with whipped cream or ice cream
