Grower Direct Romaine Salad With Bing Cherries
|Romaine lettuce heads||2 , chopped (Grower Direct)|
|Feta cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), crumbled|
|Green onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), diced, some green included|
|Canned mandarin oranges||2 Ounce, drained (2 cans, 1 ounce each)|
|Smoked turkey||2 Cup (32 tbs) (1/2-inch cubes)|
|Bing cherries||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs), halved and pitted (California)|
|Extra virgin olive oil||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Balsamic vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Stone ground mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Black pepper||To Taste, freshly ground|
1. In a bowl add together oil, vinegar, mustard, honey, salt and pepper and whisk nicely until everything is mixed properly.
2. In a salad bowl put all the other ingredients, drizzle with the dressing and toss nicely to make sure the dressing is mixed properly.
3. Serve at room temperature or chilled in the fridge, with sour dough bread or a 5 grain bread roll. It-€™s a wholesome salad which is good as it is if you want to serve without any of the above.
