|Cold water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Cabbage||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), shredded|
|Celery||1 Cup (16 tbs), diced|
|Green pepper||2 Tablespoon, minced|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Soften gelatin in cold water.
Add hot water, sugar and salt and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add vinegar and lemon juice.
Chill until mixture is the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
Stir in cabbage, celery and green pepper.
Turn into large or individual molds and chill until firm.
Unmold on lettuce and serve with mayonnaise.
