Chef's Salad

Ingredients
  Boston lettuce head 1
  Radicchio head/Red cabbage - 1/4 head 2
  Cooked ham 1⁄4 Pound
  Gruyere cheese/Swiss cheese 3 Ounce
  Onion 1 Small
  Tomatoes 2
  Oil 2 Tablespoon
  Wine vinegar 1 Tablespoon
  Dijon style mustard/Prepared english mustard 1 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Wash lettuce and dry the leaves.
2) Line salad bowl with crisp whole lettuce leaves.
3) Tear the rest of the leaves into bite-size pieces and arrange on top.
4) Wash and dry radicchio and tear into pieces, or shred cabbage.
5) Cut ham into 1/2 inch dice.
6) Slice cheese, then cut into small strips.
7) Peel and slice onion and separate into individual rings.
8) Cut tomatoes into wedges.

MAKING
9) On top of lettuce, arrange all the prepared ingredients.
10) Mix together the dressing ingredients and pour over the salad.
11) Toss thoroughly but gently.

SERVING
12) Serve the salad with crusty bread and butter.
