Wilted Lettuce Salad

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 4
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar/Sugar substitute 2 Tablespoon
  Lettuce 8 Cup (128 tbs), torn in bite-size pieces
  Onion 1⁄2 Medium, thinly sliced
Directions

Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
To bacon drippings, add vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar; heat to boiling.
Pour over lettuce and onion; toss lightly and serve immediately.
Makes 8 servings.
