Tart Asparagus Salad

Ingredients
  Unflavored gelatin 2 Tablespoon (2 Envelopes)
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onion 1 Tablespoon, minced
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Canned cut asparagus 10 Ounce (1 Can)
  Pimiento 1 Cup (16 tbs), cut into strips
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Canned water chestnuts 5 Ounce, sliced (1 Can)
  Celery 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1) In a bowl of cold water, dissolve gelatin.
2) Add sugar, vinegar and 1 cup water and mix well.

MAKING
3) In a saucepan, pour this mixture and heat up to bring a boil.
4) Remove from heat, and add gelatin, onion and lemon juice.
5) Allow cooling and then add asparagus, pimiento, salt, water chestnuts and celery.
6) In a 1 1/2-quart mold, pour the mixture.
7) Place inside refrigerator to chill until set.

SERVING
8) In a serving platter, invert the mold and serve with extra seasoning, if desired.
