Herring Salad

Ingredients
  Potatoes 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), diced
  Cooked veal 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), diced
  Apples 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), diced
  Cooked beets 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), diced
  Herring 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), marinated
  Capers 2 Tablespoon, drained
  Onion 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), finley chopped
  Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1) In a bowl, mix all ingredients excluding mayonnaise.
2) Toss to coat well.
3) Chill for several hours or overnight.
4) Toss with mayonnaise.
5) Before serving, arrange in a large salad bowl lined with salad greens.

SERVING
6) Garnish the salad with mayonnaise, chopped hard-cooked egg whites and yolks, dill pickle slices, or black and green olives.
