Lentil Salad

Ingredients
  Lentils 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), dried
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Dill pickle 3 Tablespoon, chopped
  Green onion 2 Tablespoon, sliced
  Italian salad dressing 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Lettuce 4
  Snipped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Tomato wedges 2
Directions

MAKING
1) In a large saucepan cover lentils with water.
2) Put onion, salt, and bay leaf.
3) Simmer covered for about 45 minutes till lentils are tender.
4) Discard bay leaf.
5) Drain in a colander and cool.
6) Toss lentils with celery, pickle, and green onion.
7) Toss with Italian salad dressing.
8) Chill for 4 to 5 hours.

SERVING
9) Serve lentil mixture on lettuce.
10) Sprinkle trimmed parsley on top.
11) Garnish with tomato wedges.
