Two Tone Cabbage Salad

Ingredients
  Egg yolk 1
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Powdered mustard 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cayenne 1 Dash
  Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Evaporated milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), heated (Undiluted)
  Finely shredded red cabbage 2 Cup (32 tbs), separated
  Finely shredded green cabbage 2 Cup (32 tbs), separated
  Lettuce 1
Directions

Beat egg yolk; add salt, mustard, cayenne, and vinegar.
Gradually add milk, beating constantly.
Add half of mixture to cabbage of each color and mix lightly.
Put red mixture on lettuce leaf, top with green mixture.
Chill.
Makes 4 servings.
