Spicy Peach And Cream Cheese Salad
|Canned peach halves||7 1⁄2 Ounce (6 Large Cans)|
|Whole cloves||1 Teaspoon|
|White vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||3 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Fresh lime juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pecans||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
Place cinnamon stick and cloves in a small cheesecloth bag; tie firmly; cook with sugar and vinegar for 3 minutes.
Remove spice bag; pour over peaches; chill.
Fill center of each peach with cream cheese seasoned with lime juice and chopped pecans.
To serve: Arrange each peach half on a chilled, crisp lettuce leaf.
