Taffy Apple Salad

Ingredients
  Chopped red delicious apples 4 Cup (64 tbs), unpeeled
  Canned crushed pineapple 8 Ounce, drained, juice reserved
  Salted peanuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Cool whip 8 Ounce, thawed (1 Container)
Directions

Place apples, drained pineapple and nuts in bowl; mix.
Combine cornstarch, sugar, vinegar and reserved pineapple juice.
Cook, over low heat for 1 minute, then add beaten egg.
Cook until thick.
Cool.
When above mixture is cool, stir in apple mixture and mix well.
Fold in the Cool Whip.
Refrigerate overnight, or at least 6 hours.
This reminds you of eating taffy apples.
