Tangy Wilted Salad
|Bacon slices||3 , chopped|
|Granulated sugar||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dry mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Mixed greens||1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Four)|
|Green onions||2 , sliced|
Prepare greens early in day and store in a tea towel in a plastic bag in the refrigerator to keep fresh until serving time.
Cook bacon in a small microproof bowl until crisp.
Lift out bacon and reserve.
To 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) of drippings add vinegar, sugar, water, salt, pepper and mustard.
Heat on HIGH 1 minute.
Drizzle over prepared greens in salad bowl, garnish with bacon and serve immediately.
