Hot Potato Salad With Franks

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 8 , chopped
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Enriched flour 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Vinegar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salad dressing 3 Tablespoon
  Sliced cooked potatoes 4 Cup (64 tbs) (Or Diced)
  Frankfurters 1 Pound, halved crosswise
  Hard cooked eggs 2 , sliced
  Minced parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Celery seed 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cook bacon till crisp, add onion, cook till tender but not brown.
Blend in next 4 ingredients.
Add vinegar and water; cook and stir till thick.
Remove from heat; stir in salad dressing.
Sprinkle potatoes with 3/4 teaspoon salt, pour dressing over, toss lightly.
Stand frankfurter halves upright around sides of 8-inch shallow round baking dish; fill center with salad.
(Or, to hold frankfurters in place, put part of salad in center first.) Bake at 350° 20 minutes, or till hot through.
Trim with egg slices.
Sprinkle with parsley and celery seed.
