Broiled Lettuce Salads
|Iceberg lettuce head||1 Large, cut into 6 slices|
|Tomatoes||2 Medium, each cut into 6 slices|
|Bottled buttermilk salad dressing||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Shredded cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Cheddar Or Process American)|
|Sliced green onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Place lettuce slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
Place 2 tomato slices on each lettuce slice.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon dressing onto each tomato slice; sprinkle with cheese.
Set oven control to broil and/or 550°.
Broil salads with tops 2 to 3 inches from heat just until dressing and cheese bubble, about 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with onions.
