Spring Salad Bowl
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Head of lettuce||1 Large|
|Radishes||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), sliced|
|Sliced pared carrots||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Scallions||3 , sliced|
|Hard cooked egg||1 , sliced|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Celery seed||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Salad oil||5 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
Rub a large salad bowl with the clove of garlic, cut in half.
Break the lettuce into 12 pieces, then place it in the bowl with the radishes, carrots, scallions, and egg.
Just before serving, combine and add remaining ingredients.
Serve at the table, tossing the salad well.
