|Sugar||125 Gram (4 ounce)|
Pare the rind from one orange and cut it into thin shreds.
Peel the remaining oranges and remove the white pith from all six.
Slice the oranges and put into a serving bowl.
Sprinkle over the gin.
Put the sugar and shredded rind into a saucepan and heat gently, stirring until the sugar has melted.
Continue heating until the syrup is golden brown and begins to bubble, then pour quickly over the oranges.
Leave for 30 minutes, then chill.
Serve with single cream.
