Gingered Melon Salad
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated peeled ginger root||1 Teaspoon|
|Cantaloupe balls||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Honeydew melon balls||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Watermelon balls||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine water, sugar, and gingerroot in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and let cool completely.
Combine melon balls in a medium bowl.
Pour sugar mixture over melon balls, and toss gently.
Cover and chill.
