Easy Green And Gold Salad
|Canned gooseberries||1 Pound (1 Can / 2 Cups)|
|Lemon flavored gelatin||2 Tablespoon (2 Packages)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange juice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Celery slices||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Broken california walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Drain gooseberries, reserving syrup.
Add water to syrup to make 1 3/4 cups.
Heat 1 cup of syrup mixture just to boiling.
Pour over gelatin and sugar; stir to dissolve.
Add remaining 3/4 cup syrup mixture and orange juice.
Chill till partially set.
Stir in gooseberries, celery, and nuts.
Pour into 6 x 10 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Chill till firm.
Cut in squares and serve on lettuce.
Trim with fans of orange segments, if desired.
