Perfect Potato Salad

Ingredients
  Cubed cooked potatoes 3 Cup (48 tbs), or sliced
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sliced celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sliced sweet pickle 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Celery seed 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mayonnaise 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Hard-cooked eggs 2 , sliced
Directions

Sprinkle potatoes with sugar and vinegar.
Add onion, celery, pickle, seasonings, and mayonnaise; toss to blend.
Carefully "fold in" egg slices.
Chill.
