Strawberry Cream Layered Salad
|Strawberry flavored gelatin||3 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Boiling water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Frozen sweetened strawberries||10 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)|
|Canned crushed pineapple||8 Ounce, well drained (1 Can)|
|Coarsely chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Mash bananas and combine with thawed strawberries and their juice, pineapple, and nuts.
Add gelatin mixture.
Pour half the mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish; cover and chill until firm (about 1 1/2 hours).
Cover remaining gelatin mixture and let stand at room temperature.
When refrigerated portion is firm, spread evenly with sour cream.
Spoon remaining gelatin mixture evenly over cream layer.
Cover and chill until firm (at least 4 hours).
Arrange lettuce on 6 salad plates.
Cut salad into squares and place on lettuce.
