Moulded Ginger Ale & Pear Salad

Ingredients
  Lime-flavored gelatin 3 Ounce (1 Package)
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ginger ale 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Fresh pear/8 canned pear halves, drained 4 Large
  Lemon juice 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Lettuce leaves 4
  Mayonnaise/Unflavored yogurt 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in ginger ale.
Chill until thick and syrupy.
Meanwhile, peel, halve, and core pears.
Immediately brush surface of pears with lemon juice.
Arrange pears round-side-down in a 1 1/2-quart mold.
Pour thickened gelatin over pear halves.
Cover and chill until firm (at least 3 hours).
Unmold on serving platter; surround with lettuce leaves and garnish with dollops of mayonnaise.
