Wilted Lettuce Salad

  Margarine 2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic salt 1⁄4 Tablespoon
  Sesame seeds 1 Teaspoon
  All bran cereal/Bran buds cereal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Parmesan cheese 2 Teaspoon, grated
  Bacon slices 6
  Iceberg lettuce 2 Quart, torn into bite size pieces
  Tomato 1 , chopped
  Green onions 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), sliced
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon

In a medium skillet, melt margarine over low heat.
Stir in paprika, garlic salt and sesame seeds.
Add cereal, stirring until well-coated.
Cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes or until cereal is crisp and lightly brown.
Remove from heat.
Add cheese, tossing lightly.
Set aside.
Fry bacon until crisp.
Drain, reserving 2 T. (30 mL) of the drippings.
Crumble bacon into small pieces.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, toss lettuce with tomato, green onions, oregano and pepper.
Set aside.
Combine reserved bacon drippings, vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Pour over lettuce.
Cover bowl about 1 minute.
Portion salad into individual salad bowls.
Sprinkle bacon and cereal mixture over each portion.
