Lettuce And Tomato Salad
|French dressing||2 Tablespoon (Sweet)|
|Head of lettuce||1 (Crisp)|
Pull the lettuce leaves apart and spread them on plates.
Cut tomatoes in eighths and arrange in equal portions on plates over lettuce leaves.
Chill in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
Pour Sweet French Dressing over all and serve.
A tossed salad may be made by cutting up tomatoes and lettuce into a large wooden salad bowl. (Etiquette decrees that you should break up the lettuce with the fingers and not cut it with a knife, but we find a knife is cleaner and quicker.)
Add sliced ripe olives and a small can of anchovies if desired.
Toss well and serve from the bowl at table.
