Luncheon Salad

This lovely luncheon salad is a mixed fruits and cottage cheese salad. Prepared with whipped cream for dressing, the mixed fruit luncheon salad is chilled to serve and excellent for light lunch or a meal.
Ingredients
  Canned pineapple chunks 20 1⁄2 Ounce
  Cream style cottage cheese 24 Ounce (Two 12 Ounce Cartons)
  Halved pitted dark sweet cherries 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Oranges 3 , peeled and sectioned
  Banana 1 , peeled and cut in sixths
  Halved seedless green grapes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mayonnaise/Salad dressing 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whipping cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), whipped
Directions

Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
Arrange pineapple, cottage cheese, cherries, oranges, banana, and grapes on lettuce-lined plates.
Prepare dressing by folding reserved syrup and mayonnaise into whipped cream.
Chill salads and dressing separately.
