Hearty Supper Salad
|Frankfurters||1⁄2 Pound, thinly sliced|
|Corn oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Green pepper||1 , cut into narrow strips|
|Thinly sliced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Potatoes||2 , cooked and diced|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|French dressing||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Commercial)|
|Lettuce head||1 , shredded|
|Swiss cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), cut into thin strips|
|Tomatoes||2 , cut into thin wedges|
Saute frankfurters in corn oil until lightly browned.
Remove from skillet and combine with green pepper, celery, potatoes, onion, French dressing, salt, and pepper.
Cover and chill.
Just before serving, add lettuce, cheese, and tomato wedges.
Toss gently to mix.
