Molded Sweet Cherry Salad
|Sweet cherries||1 Can (10 oz), drained and pitted, liquid reserved (Light Colored)|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Cherry flavored gelatin||3 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Stuffed olives||8 , chopped|
|Slivered almonds||1 Cup (16 tbs), toasted and chopped|
|Mayonnaise||4 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Measure separately the reserved cherry liquid and enough boiling water to make 2 cups, but do not combine.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; then add cherry liquid.
Chill until thick and syrupy.
Fold cherries, olives, and almonds into slightly thickened gelatin.
Pour into a 5 cup mold and chill until firm.
Unmold on crisp lettuce and garnish with mayonnaise.
