Orange Water Chestnut Salad

Ingredients
  Mandarin oranges 1 Can (10 oz), drained (Liquid Reserved)
  Gelatin 3 Ounce (1 Package, Orange Flavored)
  Water chestnuts 1 Can (10 oz), sliced paper thin
  Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Measure mandarin liquid and add enough hot water to make 1 1/2 cups.
Heat to boiling; add gelatin and stir until gelatin dissolves.
Chill until gelatin begins to thicken.
Add orange sections and water chestnuts.
Spoon into a 6 cup mold and chill until firm.
