|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sifted flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Sift sugar, flour, and salt together; cut in shortening; add rum.
Mix thoroughly; shape into 1-inch balls.
Place on greased baking sheets.
Flatten, bake at 400Â° for 10 to 15 minutes
