|Rum||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Slivered almonds||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), toasted|
|Golden raisins||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla pudding mix||3 Ounce|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), whipped|
|Angel food cake||10 Ounce, cut into 0.5-inch cubes|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl, let stand 1 hour.
Prepare pudding mix according to package directions using 2 1/2 cups milk, cool.
Fold whipped cream into pudding.
Layer one-third each of cake, raisin mixture, and pudding in a 3 1/2-quart glass bowl, repeat layers twice, ending with pudding.
Cover and chill at least 3 hours.
Before serving, beat 1/2 cup whipping cream until soft peaks form, spread over trifle.
Garnish with almonds and strawberries, if desired.
