Butter Rum Sauce

|Pure maple syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1 Tablespoon, unsalted|
|Dark rum||2 Tablespoon (Jamaican)|
1) In a 4-cup microwave-safe measuring cup, mix together all ingredients.
2) Microwave the mixture for 2 minutes on medium-high power, until the butter melts.
3) Mix well and use the sauce as required.
